Yep politicians always been the same. All that they are about is themselves and their career. They "tow the party line" do the by-partisan posturing regardless of what they really feel about what is right or wrong.
Politics is as someone once said "showbiz for ugly people" :-)
One thing that is consistent though.... they rarely "represent" the views of the people that elect them. Only when they have to in order to keep their seat/job.
And the whole end game for being a politician for many is access to business and selling themselves off to do the bidding of the person, organisation that pays the most. Cynical? Moi?

The true irony is that they are going to try to do everything they can to ‘save the tax payers money’
From what I read (see latest statement regarding honours list) we’re showing a lot of good will by paying things we’re not liable for to try and maintain good relations
Should E20 push this too far, we’ll end up in court for real. If we win, not only will they have to pay for the costs, likelihood is we’ll be sticking to the exact letter of the tenancy agreement and they’ll end up spending more than the precious tax payers money they tried so hard to protect!
Politicians, everything they touch turns to shit.

Another update about the missing honours from the middle tier.

This whole relationship between us and them is an absolute fucking shambles.

Re: The green pitch surround stays

The whole project has been one political fuck up - right from the moment they started throwing out lines like “football will never be played at this stadium” when West Ham were suggesting contributing to the cost of building the bloody thing with converting it in mind.
Could’ve saved everyone a lot of time and money and outright angst.
As it was they found themselves with a stadium not fit for anything that they’ve had to hatchet into something that semi resembles a football stadium and have been bent over a barrel in the process.
Ironically they are now trying to show that they won’t be bent over a barrel at every turn only to end up bent over a barrel in legal processes.

we need to pay for the "temporary" scaffolding to match with the surround and create the illusion of permanence rather than the 2 bob, ramshackle, mess we have. Mind you its consistent. Our training ground looks that way too.

Its political. Legally the LLDC are responsible. Got to show they are standing up for the taxpayer unlike the Tory predecessor. All noise and nonsense.

About time we reminded E20 who their only revenue stream is, that the stadium is not fit for purpose and that we won the court case backed up by expert opinion. Grow some fucking balls FFS.

age old rule of business- if you walk away from the table having screwed the other party, every single piece of future business will cost double- at least
Brady did just that and is at the heart of why there's such a broken relationship
